#TANKATUESDAY Weekly #POETRY CHALLENGE NO. 244 #EKPHRASTIC #PHOTOPROMPT #Haiku @ColleenChesebro
Hi everyone! Today, I’ve joined Colleen’s weekly TankaTuesday challenge for the first time. You can find her post HERE.
Below is the image prompt and my Haiku response in a 3-5-3 syllabic format.
Cold dark night
on the bereaved soul
moon shines hope
The shining moon does fill us with light. (K)
For sure. Thanks, Kerfe 🙂
Love the promise in the last line, Harmony. Beautifully written.
Thanks so much, Jacquie 🙂
A lovely poem, Harmony. I’m looking forward to seeing your poems every week. I have shared to our FB poetry group. I know you aren’t on FB but just so you know.
Oh, Robbie, that’s so kind! Thank you 💕🙂
Wonderful take on the image, Harmony! 🙂
Thanks, Yvi 🙂
Well, you know what I thought of with that first line. Nicely done, Harmony.
😂I’m ashamed to confess I only saw that on my third or fourth re-read! 😂 Awesome title for an awesome book. So thrilled you enjoyed the Haiku, Joan 💕🙂
Aww, thanks, Harmony. We have the words to a song to thank for that title. 🙂 And I’m honored you thought of it.
Spooky and yet hopeful. I love it!
That’s great. Thanks, Priscilla 🙂
Yay! I’m so glad you tried the challenge, Harmony! I love how you captured not only the pain but the hope offered! Fantastic take on the picture. xo
Thanks so much, Denise! 🙂

Thanks so much, Jan! 🙂
Nice one, Harmony.
Thanks, John 🙂
Yes! This is perfect, Harmony. I like how you picked up on “the souls.” The image is so provocative by mirroring the horrors of today’s world. I’m over the moon that you jumped in! 🧡
Yay! Thanks so much, Colleen 😁💕
This works so well with the picture and told the story. Nicely done.
Yay! Thanks, Michele 🙂
Great work with the prompt, Harmony.
Thanks, Staci 🙂
