Affinity Is Free!

Affinity Canva is Free

Hi everyone. Great news: Affinity Canva is FREE. I’ve bought the paid version of Affinity Photo 1 and 2 previously and now have the latest Canva-Account linked version as well. You can use Affinity Canva for free without the Canva AI generative content, which is what I’m doing right now, and you can also subscribe to Canva Pro to unlock the AI features. Simply click HERE and sign up if you don’t yet have a Canva account, or sign in if you have one already. Once you’ve done that, the download page will open. This offer is for both Windows and Mac IOS versions.

If you don’t have Affinity already this will save you hundreds of pounds/dollars and packs some fantastic image editing power.

I absolutely had to share this amazing freebie with you all! Soon, I’ll write a post about uploading your own PDF for print books to D2D. In the meantime, keep well and see you soon 😊💖

  1. Thanks for plugging this creative wonder, Harmony. Excellent! With the Affinity product line, I’ve skipped the overhead of Adobe products for several years. Even with the free Affinity, you’re not forced to use generative AI, but it’s an option. You can still use the previous Affinity apps. Once you get used to the new Affinity interface, it works similarly to the prior apps, but the Designer, Photo, and Publisher are all in one place and on your computer. A link to the cloud is not required while using and saving. Also, you can find many teaching videos for free. If anyone has an interest, you can see my years of using the apps with a quick glance at the infographics and photos on my site. Book covers, too!

    • That’s fantastic info! Thanks so much, Grant. I’ll definitely look at new teaching videos. On version 1, I bought the Affinity book, which was a huge help. For a long time I’ve used both Affinity and Canva, so having the two together will be brilliant 😊💗

      • I’ve got that book! 📕 I love the royalty-free images from Canva, which often serve as the “base” for a post’s featured image. It’s so easy to bring a PNG or JPG into Affinity Designer (or now, Affinity) and then enhance them, making each featured image unique for my site. A quick look at recent posts via the Blog menu offers dozens of examples. The “Write Like the Wind, but Edit Like a Surgeon” post shows the combination of three images over a background image. Time to make that featured image was minutes, not hours, and created without generative AI.

        • The images on your site are great. Agreed—the free Canva images are awesome. I’ve made so many graphics quickly and easily with those 😊Thanks again for all your wonderful input and support, Grant! 🤗💗

          • A quick note about learning Affinity. At first glance, it may seem overwhelming. What seems intimidating actually masks a fantastic thing. It’s a professional-level app that can address all your creative efforts. The best way to learn Affinity is to use it. You can’t break it, so experiment. Once you know what you like, you can set up the app to make it easier to use. For example, I pre-established the entire color palette for my website, making it a simple click. I hope you keep this series going, Harmony. People asked for an Affinity-like app years ago, and it’s here now for free.

          • Thanks, Grant. It is fantastic to use. I’m so pleased the free version gives more people access to it 😊

    • You’re welcome, Yvi! It’s an awesome image editing tool. I’m not sure how the free Canva-linked version will compare to the V2 I paid for a while back and suspect the background removal tool may not be present without Canva Pro but it’s fantastic for free anyway 😊💗
