In no particular order … Here they are! 🙂

hastings b&wGenres:
Romance, Suspense, Paranormal, Mystery, and Mainstream

Quirky fact I don’t want anyone to know:
The socks in my sock drawer and some books on my shelf are arranged in rainbow order.

Bio:
I grew up knowing family is paramount. I was blessed to spend time with extended family daily, not just on holidays or weekends. Because of those close-knit familial bonds, every day was full of love and laughter, food and fun.

Life has taken me a thousand miles away from that extended family, but those ties remain. And so do the traditions, which I now share with my husband, son, and daughter… even my two dogs. And through my fiction, I share those traditions and the importance of relationships with you. Mystery or suspense, romance or mainstream—in my stories, family is paramount.

Mae Clair

Mystery & Suspense…with a dash of Myth & Romance

Close-up of author Mae Clair, facing camera, holding penGenres:

Mystery, Psychological Thrillers, Supernatural Suspense, Romantic Suspense

Quirky fact I don’t want anyone to know:
(or maybe I do)….I saw a UFO when I was six. Probably why I write some of the stuff I do.

~ooOOoo~

Bio:
They say everyone has a story to tell.

I wrote my first childish “masterpiece” at six and was immediately bitten by the writing bug. Since then, I’ve been composing nonstop, and have dabbled in multiple genres over the years, writing everything from fantasy, westerns, and horror to inspirational fiction, romance, and sci-fi. It took me a while to find my niche, but I’ve settled comfortably into the mystery/suspense genre (with a just a dash of romance tossed in).

Several of my earlier works have strong romantic themes, but all are infused with threads of mystery. I have a passion for folklore, myth, and urban legends and that attraction often factors into my writing. You’ll find threads of archaic tales and mysterious places woven throughout many of my novels.

I am a member of the International Thriller Writers and a past president of the Central Pennsylvania Writer’s Organization. If I’m not camped out at my keyboard or have my nose buried in a book, I’m likely looking up blurry images of cryptids on Google, sorting through vintage photographs or imagining life as a cat.

Joan Hall

Mystery and Suspense… with a touch of romance

Joan HallGenres:
Mystery, Suspense, Romantic Suspense

Quirky fact I don’t want anyone to know:
My favorite color changes depending upon my mood. Sometimes it’s red, other times green, but most of the time I prefer blue.

Bio:
I’ve always enjoyed a good story. Some of my earliest memories are the times when I listened to my mother tell something about herself or her family. Although I enjoyed all of her stories, the ones that involved suspense or mystery fascinated me most. Even as a child, I would think about the “what ifs” and was intrigued by inexplicable happenings.

I became an avid reader and this developed into a desire to write. At the age of ten, I scribbled little short stories. I dabbled in poetry in my early teens, as did many of my friends. At age seventeen, I wrote a short YA novel by hand.

After I married, I set aside my wish to be a writer, but the desire never went away. When two different people said to me, “You should write a book,” I knew it was time to get serious about writing. (They probably said it because of my penchant for long narratives.)

I’m not superstitious. I’ll purposely cross a black cat’s path (in fact, I own a black manx) or walk under a ladder. However, I am interested in the folklore and legends behind superstition and ghost sightings. I like solving mysteries and once thought being a private detective would be an interesting job. You can learn more about me by visiting me at my site.

C.S. Boyack

Craig came to fiction writing later in life than most authors. He always had to write, to one degree or another as part of various jobs. Early one winter morning, he conquered the Internet and didn’t feel like shoveling the sidewalk until the sun came up. He tried a few pages of fiction and got hooked.

Craig doesn’t like limitations and calls himself a writer of speculative fiction. It’s a broad field, but he limits himself to science fiction, paranormal, and a bit of fantasy.

He has eight published works—six novels and two collections of short stories.

Quirky fact I don’t want anyone to know:

OTHER AUTHORS THAT I ADMIRE AND THAT ARE JUST PLAIN SPECIAL PEOPLE:

Jan Hawke (R.I.P June 2018)

(Also know as Sîan Glírdan)

MAGIC ALWAYS HAPPENS FOR A REASON, WHEREVER AND HOWEVER IT IS CREATED. INSIDE THE FANTASY … OR SPRINGING FROM IT.

Bio:

There’s pieces of me strung all over the web (you’ll find most of the main stuff on the L-INKS page in here), but as this is now my ‘flagship’ presence, I suppose I’d better get this done ?

In the past I’ve written some Freudian whimsy on the three ‘me’s’ so let’s kick off with the Ego. My author pic naturally, since I am fully defined as such in the waking world these days. It’s the one I had taken (by my late husband, Pete) to go on Milele Safari. If I’d used the colour version you’d see I’m wearing a blue and turquoise ethnic scarf and my favourite ring – Smaug the dragon, which was made by a hoopy master silversmith, Lexi Dix, who numbers rocks stars, captains of industry and the Prince of Wales among her clientele. So how did I get this not so small chunk of silver? Well, it’s a combination of catching Lexi (when she wasn’t famous) on a summer market stall at the Guildhall in the City of London, and Pete getting sick of being told about this incredible dragon ring I’d seen nestling up with some bird skull rings (for the rock stars) and buying it as a Christmas pressie for me. I was a lucky, lucky girl ‘cos even in those days Lexi’s stuff didn’t come cheap – but then this is a very, very classy ring that serves as a talisman and muse some days…

Lizzie Chantree

Bio:

I write sizzling romances and am an enthusiastic inventor, businesswoman and artist. I founded my first company at the age of 17 and have been creating products and driving my family mad ever since.

I appeared on Sky News, ITV Lunchtime News, This Morning, The Gloria Hunniford show, The Big Breakfast, BBC’s Worldwide Radio Service, amongst others for becoming one of Fair Play London’s Female Innovators for inventing Runaway Spray, a ‘ladder’ stop spray for hosiery.

I live in Essex, with my gorgeous family and a very unusual dog.  In between the school run and baking cakes (or burning them), I sit in my rooftop studio daydreaming of new stories about quirky businesses and the romantic escapades of the entrepreneurs that run them.

Carole Parkes

Bio:

I started writing many years ago. In 1985, I produced several short stories, a series of children’s books, and the rough draft of Tissue of Lies, which would become my first eBook on Kindle. Between 1985 and 1989, I also encouraged my elderly mother to write her life story while I started on my biography. Owing to my commitment of caring for my elderly parents, I didn’t take my writing too seriously until after they both passed away in 2012.

I self published Tissue of Lies in June 2013 and have since designed a new cover for it to coincide with the launch of my co-authored thriller/suspense book Your Last Breath. My writing partner for this second book is Doug Lafuze. We published this dark serial killer fiction in December 2015.

Yasmin Y. Correa

Bio:

Y. Correa is a literary seductress, luring one in with her talent of Romancing the Words, keeping one hypnotized with dynamic characters, and stimulating one with engaging narrative voices, strong plots, and epic conflicts. Her writes are as complex and as distinct as her person; a delightful combination of eclectic and antiquated. Therefore, the mere mention of fitting into one set genre is laughable. The multi-genre decadence is where she showcases her magnificence.

Stephen Geez

Bio: Retired TV producer and composer/producer of music for television, Stephen Geez has mellowed into the lakeside-living life of a writer, editor, graphic-artist, and Fresh Ink Group publisher. His work includes novels, short fiction, personal-experience essays, blogs, GeezWriter How-To material for authors, podcasts, video scripts, marketing content, and more.

Geez is the founding member of Fresh Ink Group, which is found at www.FreshInkGroup.com. Originally an organization for providing literary management to him and his writer friends, the group (FIG) has grown and morphed into author services and now a full publishing company producing and distributing worldwide hardcover, soft-cover, and multi-platform ebook editions along with supporting media such as book trailers. Now he divides his time between his own writing and working with other authors in all aspects of the industry from editing to graphic design to marketing.

Geez finds himself growing restless with any one kind of writing. Each of his novels, the wide swath of his short fiction, and even his essays and other narrative forms all tend to vary in style, presentation, genre, and even target audience. He’s never had much sympathy for people who want to be writers but who can’t think of anything to say, or can’t be bothered with the dedication and effort of revising and perfecting one’s drafts.

Monica F. Brown (No Labels Unleashed)

Bio: Also known as ‘Queen of Spades’ and ‘NoLabelsUnleashed”
