My Week in Review and Writing Links

Hello everyone. Happy Friday! For some reason, this has felt like a loooonnng week, lols, and I’m so glad it’s nearly the weekend. My birthday came and went, and now I’m another year older, and as a certain Mr J Howell commented last week, I can now vote!! **crying laughing**. One of my presents was money for a nice pair of earrings, which I’ve allocated to my wedding-day accessories. I’ve got a pair on order, and here’s a sneak peek (you can click on the pic to make it bigger) …

that’s as much as I’m giving away on that front! Busy working, I haven’t finished the short story yet (the one I mentioned last week with the meteor and the shoplifter), but I did get 1200 more words written on it as well as three blog posts scheduled ahead of time, so I’m content for now. Happily, I have learnt that even blog posts still count as writing! Oh, and I did write another 2300 words on the scary story I started earlier this year–The Switch. It seems that putting it on hold while I gathered more steam has done the trick, and I hope to crack on with that over the next month or two. I’ll share the unedited prologue with you on Tuesday next week 🙂 As per the quote, Stephen King would be proud, as I’ve done loads of reading … I dove into one of my birthday books that I’ve been waiting for! In my down time, I read and read and read, lols. Anyway, that’s my news for this week, and so on to the links from around the web …
