My Week in Review and Writing Links

Hello everyone. Happy Friday. Another week is done with. I can’t believe how close to Christmas we are now … less than a month! How prepared are you? I had a marathon wrapping day yesterday, and apart from a scarf and beanie I need to finish knitting, I’m done … phew.

Not so good news on the physiotherapy front. Because of my frozen shoulder, I cannot do all the hip exercises needed (the arm and shoulder prevent a lot of movements and postures). Also, the physio has said she cannot do any more for the shoulder, as it is getting worse no matter what we do. So, I had an x-ray on Friday afternoon last week, and it will take 2 to 3 weeks for the results to come back. I am also scheduled for a steroid injection into the shoulder on the 19th of December, so here’s everything crossed that brings some relief. Because of all that, if I’m not around online as much as usual, this is why. It hurts. (Even working on the iPad!) Anyway, enough on that! On to better things …

It’s been a good writing week too, with more flash fiction stories completed as well as steady progress on the novel.

We in the UK got battered with Storm Diana for Tuesday and Wednesday, and the strong winds kept me confined indoors. Once, I went out in winds like that, and the gusts not only took my sticks out from under me but also lifted my false leg, lol. That felt surreal, having my leg lift without my volition, and it’s a heavy thing too! (There’s a creepy story in there somewhere, I’m sure.) 🙂

Okay, that’s it from me for now. Here are this week’s writing links:

    • Thanks, Craig. It’s a pleasure to include your links. Have a great weekend ?

  2. So sorry to hear of the health challenges, Harmony. Pain is not an easy companion to live with. Hopefully, the steroid shot will help ease. Hang in there, and stay out of the wind!

    • Thanks, Jan! I’ll be sure to hide from the weather, lol ? Have a good weekend ?

  3. Oh, Harmony. I’m so sorry to hear that. It seems like when it rains, it pours. (No weather pun intended.) I will be praying the shot works wonders and your X-rays indicate good news.

Congratulations on the good writing week and the completion of gift-wrapping.

    • Thanks, Staci. Your weather pun had me laughing out loud ?. Have a lovely weekend ?

  4. I still have more Christmas shopping to do, but I’m whittling down my list.
So sorry to hear you are still having such problems with your shoulder. I hope the shot brings some relief (although I know that is still a distance away) and when the x-rays come back your doctors can decide on a plan of action.
Stay inside, stay warm, and stay dry 🙂

Congrats on the writing front, and I LOVE the quote!

Sorry about your shoulder. I hope you can get some relief with the shot. I think there’s a story in there, too with the winds taking over. Have a great weekend.

    • I tell you, Denise, my characters hijack me all the time, lol.
I don’t do well leaving the Christmas stuff too near the time; I have to get it sorted.
      Have a great weekend. 🙂

    • Glad you liked the story idea, Joy. Thanks for your well wishes. Have a lovely weekend 🙂
