My Week in Review and Writing Links

Hello everyone, Happy Friday!

I can’t believe another week has gone past already. On Saturday, we went to our six-month wedding interview at the planned venue, which all went wonderfully. On the half-hour drive there, we met sleet, hailstone, and then a full-on snowstorm, lol. When we left home, it was bright sunshine! Talk about all seasons in one day. The temperatures plummeted overnight from double figures to 1 degree C, so we really felt the difference. It’s stayed at freezing temperatures all week. We’ve been thrown from a very warm October into scraping ice off the cars in the mornings.

On the writing front, I’m continuing to make steady progress on the novel in progress and the short fiction. It seems allowing myself time off the novels and alternating with short fiction is the key for me at the moment. This week’s quote seems relevant to a few people I know.

Well, that’s it from me. Here’s the writing links and resources for this week.

  1. I’m like Staci. I don’t get writer’s block. I lack for time occasionally, and I run out of steam sometimes. I have several storyboards ahead of me, so I always have something to work on.

    • The storyboards are a great idea, Craig. From the comments, it would seem time and steam are the biggest factors for most of us. Have a lovely week 🙂

  2. Now that is extreme weather! I”m hoping we get some of that soon so we can quit worrying about fires. I agree with Jan for me its about having enough time to write instead of having to do all the “other” stuff I don’t like doing. Have a great weekend:)

  3. Wow! Those are some weather extremes for sure! It may be safe to say that winter arrived. 🙂 I love the quote and it is subjective. For me, the only trouble I have writing is finding enough time for it all. Have a great weekend!

    • Yep, finding time can be a real tough one! Have a great weekend, Jan 🙂

  4. Glad to hear the appointment went well. And that you’re making writing progress.

I found the quote quite thought-provoking. I don’t get writer’s block. (Maybe because I outline; maybe because I’m very talkative and can’t shut down the running commentary in my brain.) It made me wonder if he meant writer’s block or what plagues me—procrastination. And wouldn’t you know, I procrastinated while I thought about it instead of moving on. lol

Thanks for the great links. Have a wonderful weekend!

    • Mine is a mix of time, motivation, and energy, lol. Like you, my brain rarely shuts up. Have a great weekend, Staci 🙂
