My Week in Review and Writing Links

Hello everyone. Happy Friday! Tonight we have relatives from Australia staying with us ready for beginning their travels home on Saturday. Then on Saturday, we have the six-month interview at our wedding venue … I can’t believe where the last six months have gone, lol.

It’s been a productive week here, despite my arm and shoulder still being awful. I have to limit the mouse-work on the computer, but otherwise the virus and the back pain have gone, yay! More achieved on my WIP as well as Flash Fiction stories and short stories. I came up with a descriptive line I adore on my WIP; here’s the paragraph …

‘Emotions grew around the visual memory like mould. Unwanted and poisonous. He had been but a boy. Young and weak and ignorant. He hadn’t known the way of the world. Not back then. And still, the old feelings held him prisoner so that he could not simply walk away from the woman bleeding out on the dirt floor.’

I’ve chosen this week’s quote for inspiration, and also because Mr Bradbury says ‘most’ of his friends. Even on that great diet, nothing is guaranteed. I’m writing because I love it. Reading too. Anything else is a bonus 🙂

Okay, that’s it from me for this week. On to the writing links and resources …

  1. Happy to hear you are feeling better, Harmony. I love the descriptive paragraph. This is an example of saying LOTS with few words. Great job! I’m intrigued.

  2. Six months! So exciting!

I’m glad you’re feeling better but sad you’re not 100% yet. Try to take it easy, even as you’re enjoying family and working. Speaking of work, that’s a great quote you chose, and I love your excerpt!

    Happy weekend!

  3. I am a huge fan of Mr. Bradbury’s diet and stick to it regularly 🙂

Glad to hear you are feeling better, Harmony. Enjoy your time with family and also all the wonderful planning you have going on for the wedding. That’s awesome!

  4. Glad you’re feeling better and hope you continue to improve. Enjoy the time with relatives.

And you’re right, six months have passed quickly.

  5. I can see why you adore that line (and paragraph) it is pretty amazing and would be a stop and admire moment when I’m reading. Glad your virus is gone hope you get some relief with your shoulder/arm. Have a great weekend and enjoy your company.

    • Thanks so much, Denise! I don’t think it gets any better than you saying ‘stop and admire moment’! I had physio late yesterday, so we’ll see how that goes. Have a great weekend 🙂
