My Week in Review and Writing Links

Hello everyone. Happy Friday. I hope you’ve all been safe from the hurricane hitting the US east coast this week. We’ve certainly seen some extremes of weather in 2018.

This week, I got lots of writing done and had fun working a short story out of one scene from my novel, The Glade. I completely reworked one scene and have a short story in 5 scenes at 600 words each, making a 3000 word story in total, and it has a whole different twist and resolution … it’s still thriller/suspense, though 🙂 In addition, I have loads of ideas in the works.

I love this week’s quote from J K Rowling, and I love what I did with it in Photoshop even more, lol 🙂

That’s it from me. Have a wonderful weekend, and here are this week’s writing links. Take a look at the video from Nicholas Rossis’ website; it’s a good bit of fun for a Friday!

  1. Thanks for the shout-out, Harmony. Love the graphic! I’m envious that you got a lot of writing done this week. “Life” kept blocking me from the keyboard. Don’t you hate when that happens? Anyway, hope you’re enjoying your weekend!

    • Thanks, Sue! It’s a great post for sharing. Yep, I hate when life gets in the way. Hope you’re having a good weekend ?

    • Sure can’t, Mae! Taking my blessings where I can get them, lol. Have a great weekend 🙂

    • Sure is, Janet! Nothing stopping us from adopting it too, lol. Have a great weekend 🙂

  2. What a cool thing to do with the short story from The Glade. That is the beauty of words. We can move them around, change them, remove them or add to them and it can take the story in a whole new direction. Kudos to you!

    • Thanks, Jan! Having a surprising amount of fun with this 🙂 Have a great weekend!

    • For now, lol! Let’s hope I can keep the momentum. Have a great weekend, Craig 🙂

    • And from that, I have an ideal for a whole novel, which I’m building now. Am actually doing some rough planning instead of pantsing the whole thing, lol. I never would have thought of it either, but a course I’m doing used it as one of its tools … so cool 🙂 Have a great weekend too!

  3. I’ve had fun taking a short story from a book. The Glade is at the top of my reading list. Perfect time of year for it!

    • Sure is, Denise, with halloween just around the corner, lol! Can’t believe how fast time is going. Have a great weekend 🙂
