  1. I agree with Harmony. There are two types of writers. Like her, I’m somewhere in between. I have a general idea of where I want a story to go, but I refuse to do a rigid outline that doesn’t allow my story to breath. My characters often surprise me and take the story in a different direction than I had planned. But both pansters and plotters can benefit from using calendars.

  2. I THINK IT IS IMPORTANT TO HAVE A FRAMEWORK BEFORE YOU EVEN START TO WRITE, HAVE AN EXPLOSIVE START, A MURDER OR EVEN A THUNDER STORM AND THEN KEEP THE TEMPO MOVING. THE END IS UNIMPORTANT AT THIS STAGE AS YOU MAY CHANGE IT, CHINA

    • I suppose there are two camps of writers, the plotters and the pantsers. I’ve used both approaches, and now I think I’m somewhere in between the two approaches. As long as your method works for you, and your finished novel has all the necessary elements, then the how you get there isn’t so important. Thanks for your comment, China 🙂
